so when I was cleaning out my closet awhile back and getting rid of shirts and things that don't really fit anymore I came across my old MCR three cheers for sweet revenge album art tee and I just couldn't stand to get rid of it, but I never wear it 'cause it was an awkwardly cut shirt and always fit too short on me (oh the joys of being tall >.<).
for those who are unaware Lena was named after an MCR song (Helena, for those unfamiliar with the band or their songs), so I thought it'd be appropriate to try and make her something out of it so that I could keep at least a little part of it in one way or another.
I wish the logo had been just a tiny bit smaller so that I didn't have to cut off part of their heads, but I still think it turned out pretty cool.

and I know I promised real pictures today, which should have meant pictures taken outdoors; but you can blame that on mother nature -shakes fist at the never ending thunderstorm that is our weather lately-

love it! i've done the same thing with sewing stuff out of old t-shirts too- i might not be able to wear them anymore, but that doesn't mean I can't make doll clothes or a plushie or something.

the bulk of the fabric that I use in genera is recycled in one way or another, either clothing that I bought on clearance somewhere to use as fabric or clothing from my personal closet or the closets of various family members.
I do buy a fair amount of fabric recently just because I'll find things that I want or need for something specific, but starting out I used pretty much nothing but recycled fabric.

hahaha I guess I don't really think of it as awkward so much 'cause nipples are a body part that everyone has, and fairyland nipples actually aren't even as horribly done and obnoxious looking as a lot of companies; this shirt is just on the thin side so they're a little more obvious I guess.

lol, i agree with that too. but makes me feel like they are cold xD my boys are not to big/tall as others, but they are a little awkward when im showing i shirt i made to my mom xD but she was the one that when i got him he was like "let me see his penis" Cx shes a weird women...
